We are proud of our beautiful campus and our strong academic and co-curricular programs, yet it
is our values that set us apart. Here, everyone is understood to be the perfect child of God, with
unlimited ability and the desire to be wholly good.
The core values of Three Rivers –responsibility, integrity, kindness – are lived every day by our teachers, students and staff members, resulting in an environment where students discover and develop their God-given talents and strong moral character.
Our peaceful 81-acre campus outside of Nanyuki provides a conducive and inspiring environment for our students to learn and grow. Three Rivers offers the rigorous Cambridge international curriculum for students and focuses on 21st century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication.
At the same time, we recognize that academic success alone is not enough to prepare students for
the challenges of the future, and therefore, we place a great emphasis on character development, which is an
important part of everything we do at Three Rivers.
Three Rivers Academy offers the rigorous and internationally respected Cambridge curriculum for students in Grade 7 through A-levels.
We use a variety of teaching strategies including project-based learning, experiential learning, direct instruction, group activities, and individualized coaching. Our students take ownership and responsibility for their own learning, developing confidence in their abilities and an understanding of how to learn and not just what to learn.
Each member of the Three Rivers Academy community is valued and loved. Everyone is encouraged to realize their full potential as a child of God both in and out of the classroom. We provide many activities and experiences where students discover their talents and learn new skills, overcome their fears, learn to be leaders, and develop a strong sense of teamwork and family.
Three Rivers students constantly refer to the school as “A home away from home.” This family-like atmosphere stems from the spiritual values that are the bedrock of the school – love, compassion, fairness, honesty, hope and faith. One of the most important things in a young person’s life is the interest and support of a caring adult. And Three Rivers has lots of caring adults – our coaches, the matrons in our boarding houses, our teachers and staff members. Our student leaders also take responsibility for the caring and inclusive atmosphere at the school.
