Lower Secondary

The Lower Secondary program aims to provide students with a broad and balanced education that helps them develop essential skills and knowledge for their future academic and personal success.

At Three Rivers Academy, the curriculum of Cambridge Lower Secondary is organized into three stages, each with its specific learning objectives. The first stage focuses on developing fundamental skills in subjects such as English, mathematics, and science, while the second stage emphasizes the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The third stage prepares students for the transition to the Cambridge Upper Secondary program, with a focus on deeper subject knowledge and development of skills such as independent research and collaboration.

Our Lower Secondary program takes a learner-centered approach with the needs and interests of the individual student are taken into account. This approach fosters a supportive learning environment that promotes intellectual curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

The assessment of Lower Secondary is designed to be flexible and meaningful. Students are assessed through a variety of methods, including coursework, practical work, and internal exams. The program emphasizes the development of skills such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, which are essential for success in the modern world.
