Student Life

The emotional and physical well-being of every student is of utmost importance at Three Rivers.

Our school community is like a family, and every child here is known and loved.  Everything we do to support the students starts with the understanding that there is a God who is Love, always present to care for each of His children.

At Three Rivers we have developed a unique program that we call “Foster Families.” Each student has a foster family made up of a small group of students and a teacher. The teacher is especially aware of the needs of the students in his group, and the students have an adult who they can turn to for counsel and support. All of our faculty and staff are trained to support the well-being of the students, and if they notice something that needs attention, the first step is often to enlist the help of the foster parent. The Foster Families program helps us ensure that students are supported as they work through the various challenges of their teen-age years.

Our Boarding Houses contribute to the family-like atmosphere of the school. They are relatively small and have two adults – a matron and a faculty member – who reinforce character lessons and teach wellness, safety, and other life skills.
